Job Description
Are you a dedicated teacher who loves supporting children with complex special educational needs, creating a nurturing environment, and breaking down barriers to learning? This wonderful, vibrant, and welcoming Special School is looking for a skilled Complex Needs Teacher to join their team and provide high-quality education for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, MLD, and Complex Learning needs. This school has an outstanding reputation for making learning accessible for children of all abilities.
As a Complex Needs Teacher at this school, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored lessons and providing comprehensive support to pupils with complex needs. Working closely with a team of teachers and classroom assistants, you will ensure that the individual needs of each pupil are effectively met. This role requires a teacher with previous experience in teaching children with complex needs and a genuine passion for helping them reach their full potential. You will be joining an experienced team of professionals who consistently go above and beyond to provide an excellent education and a nurturing learning environment.
Job Role:
- Delivering high-quality education and support to pupils with complex special educational needs
- Collaborating with teaching assistants and classroom teachers to plan group activities and provide individualised support
- Developing engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils
- Making learning fun, interactive, and accessible for pupils
- Supporting the school's inclusive ethos and working closely with other staff members
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum of 1 year experience teaching pupils with complex special educational needs
- Possess a Valid DBS on the update service, or be willing to obtain one
- Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of pupils with complex needs
- Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching
