This Birmingham-based Alternative Provision is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Social Care Teacher to join their team. As a Health & Social Care Teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that are interactive for students.
Job Role:
- Teaching Health & Social Care to Key Stage 4 students, supporting them in achieving their BTEC or GCSE qualifications.
- Delivering engaging and practical lessons that relate to real-world experiences.
- Providing additional pastoral support, helping students overcome challenges and engage in learning.
- Working with small groups (4-8 students per class) to provide individualised attention and support.
- Collaborating with experienced staff and a strong leadership team to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant FE teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Health & Social Care at KS4.
- A resilient, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching.
- Strong classroom management skills and experience working with students with SEMH needs or additional barriers to learning.
- A commitment to raising aspirations and improving student outcomes.
