Job Description
Are you a Teaching Assistant who thrives on supporting students with special educational needs? This friendly mainstream secondary school in south Birmingham is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them on an ongoing basis, providing consistent and nurturing support to students who need a little extra help to succeed.
Working as part of a supportive SEND team, the Teaching Assistant will help students build confidence, access learning, and feel fully included within the school community. If you are patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping young people reach their potential, this Teaching Assistant role could be the perfect fit.
Job Role:
• Supporting students with a range of special educational needs across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Helping students to access lessons, stay engaged, and develop independence.
• Working closely with teachers and the SEND team to implement tailored support plans.
• Providing one-to-one or small-group interventions when required.
• Promoting positive relationships and encouraging students to take pride in their progress.
