Job Description
As a SEN Teacher at this school, you will be working as part of a supportive team of qualified SEN Teachers and Teaching Assistants to provide an outstanding education for all students, regardless of the barriers that they face. The school is a welcoming environment, students are happy, and staff feel supported. Children have a range of moderate learning needs including Autism, MLD, and communication impairments, with many students receiving 1-2-1 support. This role requires a SEN Teacher with QTS, who is passionate about enabling students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Job Role:
- Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons for children with Autism and moderate learning needs.
- Teaching a small class of Secondary aged students, with support from skilled teaching assistants.
- Working closely with the wider school team to implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
- Creating a positive, inclusive classroom that supports communication, independence, and social development.
- Making learning fun, engaging and interactive for pupils the leadership believes that school should be a special place for every child.
- Contributing to the wider school community and whole-child approach to education.
