As a Special Needs Teacher, you will be joining an experienced team of teachers and teaching assistants who are committed to providing each child with a nurturing and engaging education. The Headteacher is supportive and provides a platform for all staff to succeed. Ideally you will have precious experience as a Special Needs Teacher, however the school are happy to consider a teacher from either a mainstream primary or secondary background. This role requires QTS, and a positive approach! The school are happy to provide additional  training and support for an aspiring Special Needs Teacher.
 
Job Role:

• Planning and delivering lessons tailored to the needs of pupils
• Teaching classes of no more than 6 children
• Creating lessons that are engaging, and encourage participation
• Differentiating lessons to meet a wide range of abilities and communication profiles
• Working closely with a team of Teaching Assistants to provide tailored support
• Building rapport with pupils and promoting confidence, independence and progress
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and senior leaders

You Will Need:

• QTS or QTLS (essential)
• Previous experience of working with SEND, ideally Autism, MLD or complex needs is desirable
• Strong classroom management and a nurturing approach
• A commitment to inclusive practice and personalised learning
