Job Description
Are you a passionate Key Stage 2 Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to support children with additional learning needs? Do you want to teach small classes where you can build strong relationships and tailor learning to meet the needs of every pupil? This welcoming SEND school is looking to appoint a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) in a nurturing and well-resourced environment.
As a Key Stage 2 Teacher at this school, you will deliver engaging and highly differentiated lessons to small classes of pupils with additional needs. You will focus on developing pupils’ academic progress alongside their communication, confidence and independence. You will be supported by two outstanding Teaching Assistants who work closely with teachers to ensure every pupil receives the support they need to thrive. The school also offers excellent facilities and a wide range of resources designed to support effective SEND teaching.
Job Role:
- Teaching a small Key Stage 2 class of pupils with ASC and MLD
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Creating a structured, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
- Working closely with two experienced Teaching Assistants to support learning
- Supporting pupils’ communication, confidence and independence
- Using a range of strategies and resources to engage learners
- Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress
- Contributing to EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Teach small classes with excellent staff-to-pupil ratios
- Be supported by two outstanding Teaching Assistants
- Have access to excellent resources and specialist facilities
- Work in a welcoming and supportive school environment
- Receive strong support from an experienced leadership team
- Be paid to scale in line with experience up to MPS6
- Make a genuine difference to the lives of children with additional needs
