Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant required for a long-term opportunity supporting a Key Stage 4 child with additional learning needs. Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity? This welcoming special school is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1-2-1 basis with a Key Stage 4 child who requires additional support in class.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be providing tailored support for a child with Autism as a primary diagnosis, experience supporting young people with autism is essential for this role. The school is an outstanding environment which caters for children with MLD and requires a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide 1-2-1 support in a Key Stage 4 class.
• Offer class support and run group activities where required.
• Manage attitudes effectively and foster a positive learning environment.
• Understand various special educational needs and providing tailored support.

Requirements:

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or experience as a TA or LSA
• Passionate about making a difference at an award-winning SEND School.
• Previous experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs.
• A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Understanding of the Teaching Assistant/Classroom Assistant role.
