Work Development Officer, Hammersmith and Fulham

We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified social worker /OT or unqualified social care officer with significant experience of working in ASC.

To ensure that the highest standard of social work practice is imbedded across the organisation, by being a driving force in improving social work practice & education.
This role has both operational and strategic elements and covers workforce development for all H&F ASC Social Care staff social workers,, including social workers, OTs, independent living workers etc, across the service including Provided Services and the Reablement team. as a whole spanning from ASYE/NQSWs to operational service managers. A key focus will be the alignment of training outputs to gaps in staff proficiency, identified by managers and via business intelligence i.e. audits. Furthermore, the WFD officer will support a strategic approach to training, ensuring that staff select training that is relevant to their role and can apply their learning and knowledge to improve their practice and ultimately the lives of residents.
i.e planning, commissioning and promoting our social care training programme and ensuring a triangulated approach to training ie staff are
Working alongside the principal social worker, the performance improvement lead and heads of service. The Workforce Development Officer will be motivated to create a culture of innovative social work practice across ASC, which is responsive to the needs of residents, evolving service demands and reflects corporate priorities and values such as independent living and doing things with residents and not to them.
