Local Authority Benefits Assessment Officer, North London 
Pay rate to £27.46 per hour  
Contract role, Local Authority Revenue and Benefits 
  
We are recruiting for an experienced Benefits Assessment Officer, in for a Local Authority in North London. 
Essential Criteria 

• A minimum of 2 years experience of all Housing Benefit assessment and calculations including New Claims, change in circumstances, reviews and reconsiderations mainly with Temporary Accommodation.  

• Have worked with Atlas, VEP and HBAA.  

• Must also have a good knowledge of iWorld and Information@work systems as well as Northgate NPS.  

• Successful candidate will working with new sign ups to both Temporary accommodation and general needs but mainly TA.  

• Must have knowledge of relevant HB and UC legislation and guidance  

• Position is a hybrid role with candidate working 1 day a week from the office.  

• Candidate must also have good working knowledge of UC 

  
You will need to have experience in a similar level role in a Local Authority.
