Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Lambeth - Easter
A primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children in Year 1 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in helping young learners thrive, providing tailored support to ensure they reach their full potential. The school is committed to inclusive education and creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Role Overview:

• Position: Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location: Lambeth
• Start Date: Easter
• Salary: £105 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Who We’re Looking For:

• Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly in Early Years or KS1
• Be confident in supporting students with communication difficulties, sensory needs, and behaviour management
• Be patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with young learners
• Work effectively as part of a collaborative team, including teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
• Have a proactive and creative approach to engaging children in learning

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with additional needs
• Assist in implementing tailored learning strategies to support student progress
• Help create a structured and engaging classroom environment
• Support students in developing social skills, confidence, and independence
• Work closely with teachers and specialists to deliver inclusive and accessible lessons
