SEMH Teaching Assistant - Camden 

Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? An inclusive school in Camden, are looking for a dedicated SEMH TA to join their team and make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

Role Overview:

• Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA)
• Location: Camden
• Interview Date: Immediate
• Contract: Temporary
• Salary: £103 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role: As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
• Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation techniques.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
• Encourage positive social interactions and help students develop confidence and independence.
• Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs.

About You:

• Experience working with children with SEMH needs, ASD, ADHD, or challenging behaviours (desirable but not essential).
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships and create a nurturing learning environment.
