SEN Learning Support Assistant – Haringey

Are you a caring, dedicated, and proactive Learning Support Assistant looking to make a real impact in the lives of children with additional needs? A specialist school in Haringey is seeking a committed individual to provide essential support to students with a range of learning difficulties, helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.

  • Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant

  • Contract: Full-Time / Permanent 
  • Salary: £103 - £110 per day 
 
About You:
  • Has experience working with children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), including autism, speech and language difficulties, or complex learning needs.
  • Is patient, empathetic, and confident in delivering one-to-one and small group interventions.
  • Can support students with their communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
  • Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
  • Is committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
 
Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students, ensuring they can access the curriculum and develop key skills.
  • Assist in implementing individual learning plans (ILPs) and adapting activities to suit different learning needs.
  • Support students with personal development, encouraging independence and confidence.
  • Work closely with teachers and external professionals to track progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.
  • Create a positive, safe, and structured environment where all students can thrive.
