Are you a psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience working with children with special educational needs before pursuing further study or a career in education, psychology, or therapy?

*** ‘Good’ primary school, East Wolverhampton
*** 1:1 support for a child in Year 2 with Autism
 
As a Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with a child in Year 2 with Autism, providing tailored support to help them access learning and develop essential social and communication skills. You will implement strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals, use visual and sensory aids, and provide emotional reassurance to create a positive and structured learning environment. Your role will also involve monitoring progress and adapting support based on the child's needs.
 
This role is perfect for a psychology graduate with an interest in child development, SEN, or educational psychology. Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills are essential. Previous experience working with children or individuals with Autism is advantageous but not required, as training and support will be provided.
