Design Technology Teacher Opportunity in Birmingham

The Role
You’ll be teaching Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and encourage practical problem-solving. The department is well-equipped, with specialist workshops, CAD/CAM facilities, and strong technician support. You’ll be expected to plan and deliver a broad curriculum covering resistant materials, product design and Graphics, depending on your specialism. The ability to contribute to GCSE coursework and raise attainment will be highly valued.
 
The Candidate
We’re looking for a teacher who combines subject expertise with strong classroom management and a clear passion for DT. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or an Early Career Teacher, you’ll need to be adaptable, proactive, and keen to inspire a diverse student cohort. Strong organisational skills and the ability to differentiate learning are essential.
You must hold UK QTS (or be on track to obtain it) and have recent classroom-based teaching experience, ideally within the last two years.
