The Role
A thriving secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a committed English Teacher to join them from January 2026 on a long-term assignment. You will be teaching English across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that support students’ literacy skills, critical thinking, and exam readiness.
The role offers the chance to contribute to a well-established English department that values creativity, strong curriculum delivery, and consistent student progress. You’ll plan high-quality lessons, assess learning effectively, and create a positive classroom environment where every student feels supported and challenged.
The Candidate
The school is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable English specialist who can inspire learners of all abilities. You should be:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Confident delivering KS3 & KS4 English
- Skilled in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Strong in behaviour management and relationship building
- Committed to raising attainment and encouraging a love of English
