The Role
A secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a motivated and committed English Teacher to join their department from January 2026 on a long-term basis. The role involves delivering English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, with a focus on developing strong literacy skills and preparing pupils for GCSE success.
You will take full responsibility for planning engaging lessons, marking and assessment, and contributing to a supportive and collaborative English department. This opportunity is suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs looking to secure a stable, long-term position in a positive school environment.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS (or be an ECT)
- Have experience teaching English at secondary level
- Be confident delivering both Language and Literature
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management
- Be organised, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
