The Role
A Good-rated secondary school in Coventry is looking to appoint a skilled Design Technology Teacher with a Food Technology and Resistant Materials specialism from March 2026. This is a full-time, long-term position teaching Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
You will deliver engaging, practical lessons that develop pupils’ creativity, technical understanding, and confidence in the workshop and kitchen environments. The role includes planning lessons, assessing pupil progress, and maintaining safe working practices in line with departmental and health and safety guidelines.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
- Have experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4
- Have a specialism in Food Technology and Resistant Materials
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and classroom organisation
- Be confident managing practical lessons safely and effectively
