The Role
A secondary school in Dudley is seeking a motivated and dedicated English Teacher to join their department from March 2026 on a long-term basis. The role involves teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that support literacy development and help pupils achieve strong GCSE results.
You will take responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons, monitoring pupil progress, and maintaining clear expectations for behaviour and engagement. The school is looking for a teacher who can build positive classroom relationships while maintaining high academic standards.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
- Have experience teaching English at secondary level
- Be confident delivering English Language and Literature
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Be organised, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
