Are you a committed and experienced Children’s Social Worker looking for your next opportunity? Network Recruitment Wales is recruiting Social Workers (Grade 11) to join the Children’s Care and Support Team based in Brecon. This 12-week temporary role has arisen due to recruitment challenges and offers the chance to make a real difference to children and families across Powys.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver high-quality statutory social work services to children and families in line with legislation and best practice.
• Undertake assessments, care planning, and reviews to promote positive outcomes for children.
• Manage a varied caseload, ensuring safeguarding and welfare needs are met.
• Prepare clear, accurate case records and reports for internal reviews, panels, and court proceedings where required.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency partners to support children effectively.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and service development activities.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified Social Worker with a Degree/Diploma in Social Work.
• Registration with Social Care Wales (essential).
• Strong knowledge of childcare legislation, safeguarding, and care planning.
• Experience working within Children’s Services, ideally in Care and Support teams.
• Excellent communication, report-writing, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment.

Essential Requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Social Care Wales registration.
• 5 years of references / work history.
• Signed Confidentiality Agreement (on offer acceptance).
