Clerical Assistant – Children’s Services Support
Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT), South Wales
Contract: 17th April 2025 – 30th May 2025 (6 Weeks)
Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: Competitive hourly rate + agency support benefits

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage reception duties, greeting visitors attending arranged meetings and ensuring a warm, professional welcome.
  • Handle telephone contact with staff, the general public, and colleagues, providing clear and friendly communication.
  • Perform generic business support tasks, including using Microsoft packages and operating office equipment confidently.
  • Learn to use a bespoke information management system (training provided) to support Children’s Services staff.
  • Keep the office running smoothly in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet team needs.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, confident using Microsoft packages (e.g., Word, Excel), and comfortable with office equipment.
  • Qualities: Organized, approachable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clerical or reception role, ideally in a busy office environment.
  • Requirements: Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Bonus Points: Experience in a Children’s Services or public-facing role; Welsh language skills (or willingness to learn basic greetings).
