Microsoft Systems Engineer

Microsoft Systems Engineer (Azure, M365, AAD, AD, Entra, Intune, Defender) – 3+ month contract - £500 p/d Umbrella Rate - Hybrid / 2 days onsite in Milton Keynes


Systems Engineer to support enterprise-scale infrastructure and cloud services within a security-focused environment. You’ll act as a technical SME across both BAU and project work, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and high-performing.

Role tasks:

• Managing and supporting on-prem and cloud infrastructure
• Providing 3rd line support and resolving complex incidents
• Maintaining Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, M365, AAD, AD, Entra, Intune, Defender)
• Driving monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement
• Ensuring compliance with ISO27001 & Cyber Essentials Plus
• Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors

To apply you should have the following skills and experience:

• Strong Microsoft stack experience (Azure, M365, AAD, AD, etc.)
• Solid PowerShell scripting skills
• Proven 3rd line cloud infrastructure support experience
• Knowledge of ITIL and security frameworks
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Very occasional out-of-hours support required
