A family finding social worker works with a child's child's social worker to identify potential family members or suitable adoptive families for a child awaiting adoption, using various methods like profiling their needs and linking them with potential matches within the adopted family or community. They also provide advice, information, and support to the child's social worker throughout the process, ensuring the best interests of the child are met.
