The Council are seeking an experienced social worker to work in one of their Family Support Teams. The Family Support Teams hold a mixed caseload of children on the Child Protection Register, children requiring Care and Support and children in Care Proceedings.
Following significant investment into the Family Support Teams they are seeking to add capacity and build resilience and stability. As a Social Worker, you will have a manageable workload, excellent support and time to spend with children and young people.
They are also developing our services to support their bespoke strength-based approach ‘Building on Strengths. This approach recognises the expertise of our children, families and workers, and puts relationships at the heart of everything we do. Now is an exciting time to work with them!

To be considered for this post you must be registered with Social Care Wales, at least 3 years post qualifying experience as a social worker and have not left a Local Authority permanent contract within Wales in the last 6 months.
What you need:
- A degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Registered with Social Care Wales/ Social Work England
- Completed relevant post-qualifying training
- Enhanced DBS check
- Excellent communication and written skills
