Job Description

Exciting Opportunity: Social Workers (Family Help) – Stratford-upon-Avon

Are you a dedicated Social Worker looking to make a genuine impact in a family-focused environment? We are delighted to be partnering with Warwickshire County Council to recruit passionate practitioners for their Stratford District Family Help Team.

This isn’t just another social work role; it’s a chance to join a service that is currently transforming how it supports children and families through the innovative "Families First" model.

The Roles

We are looking for motivated professionals for two distinct areas within the Stratford team:
  • Duty & Assessment Pod: Focus on initial Family Help Assessments and immediate safeguarding.
  • Support & Intervention Pod: Manage long-term cases including Child in Need, Child Protection, PLO, Court Work, and Adoption.

Why This Team?

Based just outside the historic Stratford-upon-Avon town centre, this team is perfect for those who value locality-based, multi-disciplinary working. You won’t be working in a silo—you’ll be part of a joined-up approach alongside Health, Police, and Education partners.

What’s in it for you?

  • Career Progression: A clear career pathway with a supportive management team and an established ASYE programme.
  • Wellbeing First: Robust supervision policies that actually prioritize your mental health and workload.
  • Financial Perks: Full reimbursement of your Social Work England annual fees.
  • Work-Life Balance: Generous annual leave, an extra day at Christmas, and a dedicated Volunteering & Wellbeing day.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who keeps the child’s voice at the heart of every decision.

Qualifications - Degree in Social Work and SWE Registration.

Experience - Experience across the 0–18 age range (CIN, CP, or Court work).
Mindset - Enthusiastic, child-focused, and ready to embrace new practices.
Communication - Ability to build strong, authentic connections with families.

Ready to take the next step?

Warwickshire is embedding a culture of "Families First." If you want to be part of a stable, innovative team where your professional development is guaranteed, we want to hear from you.
