Pensions Specialist

Job Title: Pensions Specialist (LGPS)
Location: West London (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Rate: £34 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: 3 months ongoing

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pensions Specialist to join a Local Authority team in West London on an interim basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) experience to support the delivery of an efficient and compliant pensions service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage LGPS pension cases in line with regulations and policies
• Provide expert advice to members, employers, and internal stakeholders
• Process pension calculations including retirements, transfers, and benefits
• Ensure compliance with LGPS regulations and relevant legislation
• Support data accuracy and maintain pension records
• Assist with queries, disputes, and complex casework
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver a high-quality service

About You:

• Proven experience working within a Local Authority pensions team
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with LGPS (essential)
• Experience processing a range of pension cases and calculations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
