Job Description
FIRE SAFETY CARPENTER
Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract
£35.33 per hour umbrella / £264.97 per day
Mon to Fri 8am to 4:30pm
Role Purpose
To carry out carpentry repairs, maintenance, renewals and replacements ranging from routine reactive repairs to major refurbishment work in occupied and void housing properties and other Council owned premises in accordance with best trade practice and to current standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
• Fitting new fire doors , repair frames and upgrading existing doors • Fitting electrical enclosures • Installing fire related plaster board • Experience in fire door • Understand fire door components • Must have full UK driving licence will be issued van • Fire Stopping Works • Good Knowledge Of British Standards • Innovated mind-set • Excellent in quality management • Good standard of record keeping and

Requirements
- Completed Carpentry apprenticeship / City & Guilds SCQF-6 / NVQ qualification or demonstrable time served experience
- MUST HAVE SOCIAL HOUSING / COUNCIL EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED
- Certificates of attendance in Health & Safety training relevant to the role
- Valid UK driving licence
- Candidates will need to have their own tools/drills.
