Job Description
I am currently representing a fire & security specialist business, who provide a wide range of life safety solutions, they are committed to delivering innovative and reliable fire & security services to their clients. As a Trainee Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in their mission to enhance fire safety and protect communities.
Job Summary:
This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced fire alarm engineer who is looking to make the transition into a more office-based, management position. There will be a detailed training plan in place, with the opportunity to learn from an engineer who has previously made the same transition. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical safety projects while developing your project management skills.
Salary Package:
• £35,000 (depending on experience)
• Company car
• Working hours 8am – 5pm (1hr lunch)

• Predominantly office-based, with occasional site visits

Key Responsibilities:
• Project Planning and management
• Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders
• Coordinate with technicians, subcontractors, and suppliers to allocate resources effectively and ensure projects are adequately staffed and equipped.
• Installation Oversight: Oversee the installation of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure the proper functioning of fire alarm systems and adherence to design specifications.
• Provide project updates and progress reports as needed.
• Ensure all fire alarm projects adhere to local and national fire codes and regulations
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Strong on-the-tools experience as a fire alarm engineer
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Basic understanding of project management principles
• Leadership skills
