An established and growing accountancy firm in north London is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Management Accountant to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking practice environment.
 
Key responsibilities of the Bookkeeper / Management Accountant:
  • Preparation of management accounts for a varied client portfolio.
  • Preparation of VAT and CIS returns.
  • Processing sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Managing prepayments and accruals.
  • Performing bank reconciliations.
  • Reconciling balance sheet control accounts.
  • Providing bookkeeping and record-keeping support to clients.
  • Delivering Xero training and app advisory services to clients.
  • Reviewing and training outsourced bookkeeping staff. 
 
The successful Bookkeeper / Management Accountant will have/be:
  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice (essential).
  • Proficient in Sage and Xero (experience with related apps advantageous).
  • Strong IT and Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Confident managing multiple deadlines and client relationships.
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts is desirable.
  • Knowledge of IRIS Accountancy Suite would be beneficial.
  • Self-disciplined, proactive, and able to work independently.

Hours: Full-time, 9:30am–5:30pm
