Sheridan Maine is proud to be partnering with a growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Watford to recruit an experienced Audit Supervisor.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) looking to step into a leadership-focused role, managing a varied audit portfolio while supporting and developing junior team members within a collaborative and ambitious firm.

The Role 

As an Audit Supervisor, you will take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, while acting as a key point of contact for clients and supporting the wider team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing audit assignments across a varied client portfolio
• Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing guidance
• Acting as the main client liaison, building strong professional relationships
• Assisting with the planning, budgeting and completion of audits
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards
• Supporting and mentoring junior staff, contributing to their development
• Working closely with managers and partners on ad-hoc assignments

To be considered for the role of Audit Supervisor, you will:

• Be ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Have strong audit experience within an accountancy practice
• Be confident managing audits and leading client engagements
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be proactive, organised, and commercially aware 

You will be someone who enjoys taking ownership, developing others, and delivering a high standard of client service.
